The residence halls close for all students for the Thanksgiving, winter intersession, Easter, and spring breaks. See the schedule of closure dates. Students who need to stay during a break closure, stay beyond the date/time when the halls close, or return before the date/time that the halls reopen must obtain approval from the Office of Residence Life and pay a fee.
Staying on Campus During School Breaks & Summer
Housing during school breaks and summer is available to continuing Manhattan College students who are taking intersession courses through the College, participating in a College activity or continuing students who are registered for an internship approved by the the Center for Career Development. Break housing must be prepaid and you must have no financial holds on your account.
Applications for break housing are available in the myHousing portal a few weeks before each break.
The rates charged for break housing depends on the reason you are staying on campus during the break.
Includes on-campus academic, athletic, work, or extracurricular activities
Includes off-campus work or internships
Juniors and seniors who live in Overlook Manor, our off-campus apartment building, are able to sign a 12-month housing contract. Your rent includes all utilities (gas, electric, heat), satellite TV, high-speed internet, a laundry room, a fitness room and 24-hour security. Underground parking is available for a fee.
