School Break Closures
The residence halls close for all students for the Thanksgiving, Winter Intersession, Easter, and Spring Breaks. See the schedule of closure dates. Students who need to stay during a break closure, stay beyond the date/time when the halls close, or return before the date/time that the halls reopen must obtain approval from the Office of Residence Life and pay a fee.
Staying on Campus During Summer
Housing during the summer is available to continuing Manhattan University students who are taking intersession courses through the University, participating in a University activity or continuing students who are registered for an internship approved by the the Center for Career Development. Summer housing must be prepaid and you must have no financial holds on your account.
Current resident students will be contacted regarding summer housing in mid to late April.
Rates
The rates charged for summer housing depends on the reason you are staying on campus during the break.
On-campus program:
- Includes on-campus academic, athletic, work, or extracurricular activities
Off-campus program:
- Includes off-campus work or internships
Meal Plans
Beginning summer 2023, all summer housing students will be required to purchase a summer meal plan. The cost of the meal plan will be published prior to contracting for the summer.
