The Women and Gender Resource Center

female students talking The Women and Gender Resource Center is a student-led community committed to intersectional feminism and social justice and to supporting students as advocates for gender justice, especially for the most vulnerable.

Our Center is located in the Student Commons, room 3C and staffed by our Graduate Assistant, our student Gender Justice Advocates, and our interns. We are here to support students in crisis, to collaborate with students on their ideas, and to provide a healing space for all students who need one.

We are here to support you, to stand with you and amplify your voices, to help organize and build community, and to support resilience and healing in this time of trauma.

Who We Are

Come and visit us to learn more about feminist and gender advocacy on campus, discover resources for survivors of gender-based violence, and find an active community of support and solidarity. We are:

  • A space for anyone, of any gender or sexual orientation, needing resources or support around gender issues.
  • A community for women’s and gender groups to share space and solidarity in order to identify and work towards common goals.
  • A network to ensure that women’s and gender issues are central to Manhattan University’s mission.
  • A safe and brave space that values each experience and viewpoint in pursuit of productivity, personal goals, dignity and self-respect.
  • A center that offers students the opportunity to be creative with their personal goals and initiatives.
  • We work closely with Manhattan's Pride Center on LGBTQIA+ issues, and with the Multicultural Center on racial, ethnic, and religious issues.
