First Year Experience

New Student Orientation

We look forward to your participation in our exciting Orientation program that will acquaint you with our Jasper community. A variety of activities and information sessions will connect you with key administrators, fellow students and current student leaders. It is an essential introduction to all Manhattan University has to offer. You will participate in academic planning sessions, attend student life panels and meet other new students over fun activities. 

All new students are required to attend orientation.

8am Breakfast in the Kelly Student Commons.
8:30-10am Check-In & Welcome Desk in the Multicultural Center: Located on the 3rd floor of the Kelly Student Commons, please stop by the Multicultural Center to officially check-in as the newest member of our Jasper family! 
8:30-10am Photo IDs at the ID Office: If you haven't had a chance to upload your ID photo ahead of time, this is a great opputunity to have a picture taken. The ID office is located on the second floor of Thomas Hall. 
10-10:30am

Welcome Address in Kelly 4C: Be formally welcomed to our campus by our President, Dr. Frederick Bonato, our Provost, Dr. Rani Roy, & our Vice President for Student Life, Kristell Lowe.

Meeting with Orientation Leaders in Kelly 4C and the Multicultural Center: Are you ready to meet your Orientation Leader? Be prepared to meet an energetic Jasper who's ready to take you around for the day! 

11am Veterans Student Session in Kelly 4A: For our new veteran students, we have a special session designed just for you!
11am International & Exchange Student Session in Kelly 4B: For our new International and Exchange students, we have a special session designed just for you!

Transfer Student Session in Kelly 4C: For our new transfer students, we have a special session designed just for you!

Resource Fair and Lunch in Locke's Loft: Enjoy lunch on campus while browsing through a number of tables and offices set-up to get you acclimated to your new home, including one representing Student Government!

Academic Session - O'Malley School of Business in Kelly 4A: Hear from the leadership of your new school! 

1pm Academic Session - School of Engineering in Kelly 4B: Hear from the leadership of your new school! 
1pm Academic Session - Kakos School of Arts and Sciences in Kelly 4C: Hear from the leadership of your new school!

Meeting with Orientation Leaders in Kelly 5C: Another fun opportunity to make new friends in groups with your Orientation Leader! 

2:30pm Mission Session in the Multicultural Center: Learn about the mission of Manhattan University and what it means to be Lasallian!
3pm Student Life Panel in Kelly 4C: Hear from the leadership of your Student Life department, your new home away from home!
6pm Orientation Leader Meet-Up  in the Multicultural Center.
7pm Men's Basketball vs Mount St. Mary's in Draddy Gymnasium: Enjoy dinner at the basketball game while cheering on our Division I team as a part of the 6th Borough student section!

11am Walking Tour of Campus Classrooms in the Kelly First Floor Lounge: Bring your spring semester class schedule with you and we'll walk you through your day of classes, including going to each building and classroom location that you have!

Women's Basketball vs Merrimack in Draddy Gymnasium: Enjoy our women's basketball game while cheering on our Division I team as a part of the 6th Borough student section!

Dinner

7pm Recreation Night in Draddy Gymnasium: At night, meet new friends by playing in one of the friendly games we put together, you won't want to miss this!
