Academic History and Interests Profile

Your first semester class schedule is coming!

First, students are required to complete an academic history and interests profile and placement assessments to help us create your first term schedule for the Fall.

Together with data we already have on file from your application, the responses we gather will inform the pre-registration process that is managed by the Office of Centralized Advising. You’ll have the opportunity to meet with our Office during Orientation sessions and you’ll touch base with your dedicated Advisor throughout your orientation and first-year experience journey.

Academic History and Interests Profile

You’ll tell us about coursework you might have taken previously (AP exams, college-level courses) and identify any early interests you have in various specialized career pathways. Selecting an early interest may not impact the major a student has declared but it does provide scheduling guidance for the first semester. With your responses, we’ll evaluate whether you will earn course credit and/or determine appropriate course placement, mostly in certain math and science courses, if you are aspiring towards various professional careers.
