ID Cards

Manhattan University’s ID card, the Jasper Card, serves as your:

  • student or staff ID
  • library access card
  • meal plan payment card
  • a debit card accepted at all campus dining and bookstore locations, equipped vending machines and various local merchants

Digital Card

The digital Jasper Card is stored on your smartphone, and is a companion to your Manhattan University ID card. The digital Jasper Card enables students to make purchases using only their smartphone at all campus dining halls and retail locations. To activate your digital Jasper Card, download the Glance MC App, click on the Jasper Card link and sign in with your JasperNet ID and password. IPhone users can save their digital card to their wallet by simply tapping the "Add to Wallet" button at the bottom of their digital card. 

Physical Card

All in-person students and employees need a physical ID card in order to access campus. See below for information about obtaining a card.

  • How do I obtain an ID Card as a new student or employee?

    Undergraduate students

    New undergraduate students starting in the fall semester will take a photo during summer orientation and receive their ID card at the New Student Convocation, which is part of the fall semester Opening Weekend. Students beginning in the spring semester obtain their IDs during mid-year orientation in January.

    Employees

    Employees may visit the ID office to obtain their ID Card. A valid photo identification such as a driver’s license or passport is required.

    Graduate students 

    • In-person students: In-person students may visit the ID office to obtain their ID Card. A valid photo identification such as a driver’s license or passport is required.
    • Remote students: Students enrolled in fully-online graduate programs are generally not issued a campus ID card unless they specifically request one. If a remote student downloads the Glance MC app and uploads a photo, the Glance MC serves as a digital ID card. However, if a remote student does visit campus and plans to use campus facilities such as the O'Malley Library and campus fitness center, a physical ID card will be issued can be obtained by visiting the ID card office.
  • How do I replace a lost ID card?

    The cost to replace a lost ID is $15. Replacement IDs are ordered through Self-Service:

  • Where is the ID card office located and what are the hours?

    The ID Card Office is located in Thomas Hall, Second Floor, Room 202. 

    The hours are Monday to Friday from 10:30 a.m. until 6 p.m.

    During winter intersession and summer sessions, the ID Office Hours/Services are by appointment only.  Please make an appointment in advance by emailing idoffice@manhattan.edu or calling (718) 862-8326.
