Faculty, staff, and administrators are invited to nominate colleagues they consider to be Distinguished Lasallians. Awardees must have been at Manhattan University for at least five years and have not already been honored.

What Are The Criteria?
We're looking for staff, faculty, administrators who
- are committed to excellence
- are generous with their time and talent
- appreciate and honor other people's experiences, values, and beliefs
- think critically as a person of faith
- show that integrity matters
- put faith into action
- are trustworthy and ethical
- demonstrate solidarity with the vulnerable
- seek to alleviate the suffering of others
- demonstrates the Lasallian Core Values of Manhattan University (faith in the presence of God, inclusivity and respect for all persons, excellence in education, concern for the poor and social justice, and an emphasis on ethical conduct)
Selection Process & Timeline
- The Distinguished Lasallian Committee reviews the nominations and determines the Distinguished Lasallians of the Year.
- At the appropriate convocation (Staff and Administrator Convocation in May and Faculty Convocation in April) the Distinguished Lasallians of the Year receive their award.
- The Distinguished Lasallians are also recognized on the regional level by the District of Eastern North America (DENA) of the Brothers of the Christian Schools, according to the theme of the annual Huether Conference that is sponsored by the North American Region of Lasallians.
