For travel during post-completion Academic Training, follow the check-list below: 

• Request a travel signature on your DS-2019 at least one week prior to traveling. 
• Students or Exchange Visitors whose visas have expired or will expire during the period of Academic Training must consult with the Responsible Officer prior to travel outside the U.S. It may be difficult to obtain a new visa while outside the U.S. on post-completion Academic Training.
