Inter-School Transfer
Policies for undergraduate inter-school transfer
- Approval of an inter-school transfer is contingent upon satisfactory performance in the current school. If a student is on academic probation at the end of the term, you must contact the Assistant Dean of the school you wish to apply to, before submitting an online request
- You must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 to apply
- The inter-school transfer is not in effect until final grades are posted
- Approved inter-school transfers take effect at the beginning of the following semester
- Only one (1) internal transfer request per semester is allowed unless prior approval has been given
- Students may initiate an inter-school transfer in the Fall and Spring terms to be effective the following term; steps 1 and 2 of the “Procedures” listed below. Specific deadlines are listed below. Students will be notified of a decision in time to plan for registration for the upcoming term
- Each School may adopt additional guidelines to meet specific accreditation or curricular requirements for its programs
- Students are advised to visit the Student Financial Services office to discuss the impact on future financial aid when changing programs

Transfers requested after the published deadlines must be approved by the Academic Advisor before an online submission can be submitted.
- Make an appointment to meet with the Academic Advisor of the school you are requesting the transfer to.
- Complete and submit the online application.
Application for Undergraduate Inter-School Transfer
Once the above steps have been followed, you will receive notification from your proposed new school approving or denying your request to transfer. If approved, a confirmation email will also be sent to your previous school so they can update their records.
As noted above, your inter-school transfer is NOT in effect until *final grades from the current term are posted and any pending charges of academic dishonesty have been resolved.
*Approval can be rescinded if final grades are not acceptable to the new school and program.
