Out in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (oSTEM), Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit professional association for LGBTQ+ people in the STEM community. With over 150 collegiate chapters at colleges/universities and professional chapters in cities across the United States and abroad, oSTEM is the largest chapter-based organization focused on LGBTQ+ people in STEM.

Each year, oSTEM partners with generous sponsors to make our annual scholarship program possible. These awards are specifically for LGBTQ+ identified students pursuing education at either the community college, undergraduate, or graduate levels. We know there is immense talent and drive amongst our students and we're thrilled to be able to recognize you and your achievements and offer support along your journey.

Specific Eligibility Criteria

 

  • Must be attending or enrolled in a community college, undergraduate, or graduate institutions.
  • Pursuing a degree in a STEM field.
  • Institution must be based in a country where oSTEM has active chapters: USA, United Kingdom, Canada.
  • Completed at least one semester at an institute of higher education.
  • Applicants must identify as a member of the LGBTQ+ community.
Please note that GPA is not a requirement or a criteria for oSTEM scholarships, but may be for sponsor organization scholarships.
