L.I.F.T.: Spiritual Retreats

Lasallians in Faith Together, or the L.I.F.T. Program, is CMSA’s vision of the retreat program, encompassing all retreats offered off campus.

Lasallians in Faith Together colorful banner Each retreat is unique and full of the many opportunities to meet new people, reflect, and take a break from hectic campus life. We welcome people of all faith backgrounds and experiences. 

All retreats occur in a quiet, relaxing location—perfect for reflection and contemplation—all while meeting new friends who share your interests. Come join us for an unforgettable retreat experience. All students, no matter their faith tradition or those with no faith tradition, are welcome to sign up for the LIFT Program.

Retreats for 2024-2025:

  • New Student Wisdom Retreat (October 5-October6)

    The New Student Wisdom Retreat is open to all first year/transfer students at Manhattan College.

    What Happens?

    The goal of this experience is to get away from the stresses of school and first year adjustment considerations, to spend some time in reflection and in community as members of our class. The first retreat of the LIFT experience for students, Wisdom: The New Student Retreat is designed to offer students a safe, reflective, and enjoyable atmosphere focused on optimism and growth. It is a time for the first year/transfer students to contemplate what their four year journey at Manhattan College will resemble, and think about their development as young adults and students of the Lasallian Mission.  

    Where?

    The New Student Retreat will be at the beautiful Empowerment Center in Goshen, NY

    When?

    Saturday, October 5 to Sunday, October 6 

    How Much?

    $35 to all participants.  Some financial aid available.

  • The Women's Retreat (March 1 - March 2)

    The Women's Spirituality Retreat is a chance for the women at Manhattan College to come together and have a weekend retreat where we reflect, relax, and learn.

    Who Goes?

    The Women's Retreat is open to all students who identify as women. 

    What Happens?

    This is a chance for the women at Manhattan College to experience spirituality issues that are relevent to their faith and spiritual development.

    Where?

    It will be at the Empowerment Center in Goshen.

    When?

    It will take place from Saturday, March 1 to Sunday, March 2.

    How Much?

    This retreat is $35.

  • Lasallian Days of Reflection (Fall and Spring Semesters)

    The Lasallian charism animates our unique history and heritage at Manhattan College.  A Lasallian Day of Reflection is a single day experience that allows our students to discover Lasallian spirituality as a means to enter into reflection and rest.  There are days of reflection in the fall and spring semester. 

    Who Goes?

    Lasallian Days of Reflection are open to all students. 

    What Happens?

     We will explore and reflect upon the presence of God in your life as your enjoy a quiet day of meditation and reflection.

    Where?

    Off campus location TBD.

    When?

    An all-day retreat that leaves from the Social Action Suite at 10 AM. 

    How Much?

    There is a $5 transportation fee.

  • Kairos XII

    Kairos is the hallmark retreat at Manhattan College, one that has to be experienced to be believed. Join your fellow Jaspers as they lead this amazing retreat to celebrate and journey together.

    Who Goes?

    The Kairos Retreat is rooted in spirituality and welcomes students of all religious or spiritual backgrounds who desire to grow in their relationship with God and faith.

    What Happens?

    Kairos is an ancient Greek word meaning the right, critical, or opportune moment.  It is a unique opportunity for students to meet new people and build lasting, meaningful relationships. Get ready for a weekend full of great fellowship, amazing food, small and large group conversations, reflection, games, and lots of beautiful music!

    Where?

    The beautiful Empowerment Center in Goshen, NY.

    When?

    Dates TBD

    How Much?

    The retreat costs $35which includes all transportation, food and lodging.
