Attendance at all workshops for students is mandatory. There are optional information sessions that parents may attend throughout orientation.
Orientation Day 1
Day one will introduce new students to the student life division, deans of the schools, and current student leaders. Students will attend invaluable information sessions about campus life. They will also have a chance to participate in a variety of social and team-building activities.
In addition, students meet with their school’s dean and academic advisor in preparation for the upcoming fall semester. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided. Check-in for orientation will take place from 8 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. in Thomas Hall, 2nd Floor on Day 1.
Orientation Day 2
Day two will introduce new students to essential parts of the campus community, including the library and computer resources. The day will end with a resource browse and barbecue where students will have an opportunity to mix and mingle. Students will receive their fall semester class schedule prior to the barbecue. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Orientation will conclude after the barbecue at 2:00 p.m.
