W.I.S.E. (Women Inspiring Successful Enterprise)

WOMEN’S PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

The mission of the program is to develop female emerging leaders and empower them to advance professionally.  Through a competitive internship opportunity and guided reflections, trainings, and collaborative projects, women will be prepared to hold professional positions at the highest levels.

If chosen for this program, you will:

Receive Housing

Students will live in residence halls over the course of the program. 

Participate in 8-Week Paid Internship

Participants will be placed in paid internships that reflect their career interests and goals.  Each internship site has a formal partnerships agreement with the Office of Career pathways and will provide an educational experience that aligns with the mission of the program.

Attend Weekly Enrichment Sessions

Students will participate in their internship and attend mandatory, weekly enrichment sessions.  The sessions will focus on many professional development areas and topics in leadership.

Play a Key Role in a Woman’s Symposium

A professional women’s symposium will be organized for the entire campus community.  Selected participants will present on various professional topics at the event.

Eligibility

You must be a rising junior or senior with at least a GPA of 3.0 to be considered.  Students from all schools are invited to apply. Students may not participate in multiple summer programs. (eg W.I.S.E and Jasper Summer Scholars, etc.).
