Crossing Borders: A Catholic Response to Migration
All members of the Manhattan College community are invited and encouraged to attend a lecture on campus by Sr. Norma Pimentel, MJ, Executive Director of Catholic Charities of the Rio Grande Valley. This role makes her the national leader in organizing the Church’s resources to respond to migrants seeking asylum in the United States. Her lecture is entitled, “Crossing Borders: A Catholic Response to Migration.”
The lecture will take place on February 19 at 7:00pm in Kelly Commons 5. The event is co-sponsored by the Office of Student Engagement, Campus Ministry and Social Action, the Peace and Justice Department, the Labor Studies Department, the Office of Study Abroad, the Religious Studies Department, the Center for Graduate School and Fellowship Advisement, the Sociology Department, Philosophy Department, Modern Language and Literature Department, and the Center for Ethics.
