Vigil in Defense of DACA

Tuesday, November 12 at 4:45PM on the Quad

DACA - Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals - is a US immigration policy that allows some individuals with unlawful presence in the United States after being brought to the country as children to receive a renewable two-year period of deferred action from deportation and become eligible for a work permit in the U.S.

The U.S. Supreme Court announced on June 28, 2019, that it will review the federal court cases challenging termination of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. The U.S. Supreme Court will hear arguments on these cases on November 12, 2019, and could issue a ruling between January and June 2020.
