Tips for a Successful Spring 2020 (Students)

As we start Spring 2020, the Registrar’s Office welcomes you back to campus and wants to provide some information to help you:

  • Classroom assignments can change, even during the first week of classes. Please log into Self Service and review where your classes are located.  Important Note:  ITS has updated the look of Self Service, but this should not affect its functionality.
  • Please familiarize yourself with the Spring 2020 Academic Calendar: Manhattan College Academic Calendar   Holidays, deadlines and other important dates are listed, such as classes on Tuesday, January 21st following a Monday class schedule and classes on Wednesday, April 15th, also following a Monday class schedule.  Note: classes on Tuesday, January 14th, will follow a regular Tuesday class schedule.
  • In response to feedback from students and faculty, final exams will now take place Monday – Friday (May 4 – 8, 2020), with Saturday, May 9th reserved only if needed. The final exam schedule is posted online on the Registrar webpage.  However, please check with each of your professors before making plans to leave after the Spring 2020 semester ends.
  • The last day to add a class (and to drop a class without financial liability) is Wednesday, January 22nd and the last day to withdraw from a class is Tuesday, April 14th. If you are dropping or withdrawing from a class, make sure you do it officially through your advisor or else you will be responsible financially and would likely receive “F” grades for your classes.
  • You can follow your progress towards your degree by checking your advising worksheet on DegreeWorks on the Manhattan College website. You and your advisor have access to this helpful tool so that you can take classes that help you fulfill your degree requirements.

If you have any questions, please contact the Registrar’s Office at registrar@manhattan.edu or 718-862-7914.  We are located on the 1st floor of Memorial Hall and are here to support you on the journey towards your degree.

Best wishes for a successful Spring 2020!
