As we start the Spring 2020 term, the Registrar’s Office welcomes you back to campus and wants to provide some information to help you and your students.
There have been classroom changes within the last month. Please log into Self Service and review where your class is located. To request a classroom change, please go to 25 Live online.
Please use Self Service to review your class roster under “Photo ID Class Roster”. This is NEW for Spring 2020. Information is updated in real-time so if there is a student in your class who is not on your roster, please do not allow the student to continue to attend and instead refer them to the Registrar’s Office. Once registered, they will appear on your roster and you will have access to give them grades, both midterm and final.
Approximately 2 weeks into the semester, you will receive an email and be expected to submit attendance rosters to determine which students have never attended your class, but are still on your class roster. It is very important that you monitor and report attendance because there are major financial and academic consequences for students who fail to withdraw from classes officially. Important Note: the process will differ from previous semesters so please review the directions when you receive the email.
Final Exams will take place from May 4 – 8, 2020, with Saturday, May 9th held in reserve if needed. The move to schedule all final exam in five days was in response to feedback received from both students and faculty. You will get an email from the Registrar’s Office early in the semester. If you teach multiple sections of the same course and wish to offer a “common” final exam for your classes, the email will have instructions on how to request this.
Please familiarize yourself with the Spring 2020 Academic Calendar: Manhattan College Academic Calendar Holidays and other important dates are listed, such as classes on Tuesday, January 21st, following a Monday class schedule and classes on Wednesday, April 15th, also following a Monday class schedule.
Course evaluation information will be sent to you later in the semester so that your students can provide feedback on your classes.
