Summer Fun at Van Cortlandt Park

Right across the street from campus, Van Cortlandt Park has plenty to offer Manhattan College students, faculty and staff this summer.

Free Rowboats on Fridays
at Van Cortlandt Lake, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Each Friday from June 21 to August 30.
*There will be no rowboats on August 2 and August 16.

Spring Wetland Volunteer Day
Saturday, June 22, 10 a.m. 
Did you know there are only 97 acres of freshwater wetlands left in the Bronx and 56 of them are in Van Cortlandt Park? Volunteers will help with native species planting, removal of non-native invasive plants and trash clean up within Tibbetts Wetlands.Meet in front of the Nature Center, enter the Park at Broadway and West 246th Street.

Movie Night: Creed 2
Lawn east of Memorial Grove
Saturday, June 22, 8 p.m.
Come out and enjoy a free movie on the lush green lawn. Enter the park at 246th Street & Broadway.

DSNY Safe Disposal Pop Up
Allen Shandler Parking Lot
Sunday, June 23, 9 a.m.
This event will give you the opportunity to discard of potentially harmful residential waste. call 718-549-7300 to RSVP. Enter the park at Jerome Avenue, just south of East 233rd Street.
