STUDENT ENGAGEMENT: NEW YORK YANKEES PLAYER GIO URSHELA COMING TO CAMPUS!

The Office of Student Engagement is proud to announce our 2nd annual Spanish lecture! Gio Urshela, the New York Yankees third basemen, will be here on Friday, September 20th.

Urshela, born in Colombia, will be giving a lecture completely in Spanish, as we have it translated in real time into English. Open to our entire community, this event will take place in the Great Room, on September 20th at 12pm. Manhattan College ID is required to attend.

A meet-and-greet for pictures will be held afterwards for all students in attendance.

This event is being cosponsored by the Camino Program. This is a part of the eighth annual lecture series held by the Office of Student Engagement, and second lecture hosted completely in Spanish. Manhattan College's Camino Program provides native Spanish speakers an associate's degree in general studies. The program can be completed in five semesters and offers bilingual faculty and intensive language support to reinforce English skills.
