St. Nicholas Shopping Project

On Saturday, December 7th, from 8:30am to 12:30pm, join Manhattan College and fellow members of the Lasallian Association of Metropolitan Ministries (LAMM) in a community service initiative of Catholic Charities, The St. Nicholas Shopping Project at Kmart in White Plains, NY.

Service volunteers are needed to shop (that's right, SHOP!) for families in need of coats, hats, gloves, sweaters, blankets and other necessities for the winter. Our team will be provided with family profiles and a shopping list and our purchases will be made with prepaid vouchers provided by Catholic Charities. Assistance may also be needed with packing items and loading the delivery trucks.

Invite colleagues, family and friends to join our team! This Catholic Charities project helps nearly 4,000 individuals each year. Please consider this opportunity for a fun way to provide service for the holiday season.

RSVP is required. Our Metropolitan Lasallians team will meet at Kmart at 399 Tarrytown Road, White Plains, New York at 8:30am and the project will end at 12:30pm.

For RSVP and/or more detailed information, email lisa.juncaj@manhattan.edu. All registered volunteers will receive further details prior to the event.
