Refugee Migrant Education Network Conference Starts Thursday

Don't miss this week's Refugee and Migrant Education (RME) Network international conference, which will take place at Manhattan College's Kelly Commons this Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Globally recognized practitioners and academics will present their experience in the field, inviting colleges and universities to cooperate in providing modern education to those in need.

"Part of the duty of justice of universities is sharing resources with those who have less — and it’s a good investment," says Fr. Fabio Baggio, Undersecretary of Migrants and Refugees Section of the Vatican, highlighting the need to share best practices in teaching, research and social responsibility concerning refugee and migrant education. The first conference of the RME Network took place in Rome in November 2017.
