We wish our Muslim brothers & sisters in our Manhattan College Community a blessed Ramadan! Ramadan is one of the holiest months of the year for Muslims. In Ramadan, Muslims commemorate the revelation of the Qur’an. Ramadan is expected to begin onThursday, April 23rd& end the evening of Saturday, May 23rd. Muslims fast from food and drink during the sunlit hours as a means of learning self-control, gratitude, and compassion for the marginalized. Ramadan is a month of intense spiritual rejuvenation with a heightened focus on devotion, during which Muslims spend extra time re-reading the Qur’an and performing special prayers.
