Quality Education in Rural and War Torn Areas

Among the many Manhattan students who are studying abroad this summer, there are four (4) who are participating in the two-week Lasallian Leadership and Global Understanding program that is sponsored by the International Association of Lasallian Universities (IALU) and is being held in Rome, July 9-22, 2017 at the Lasallian Generalate.

 

Student participants at the IALU Lasallian Leadership and Global Understanding Program; Rome, July 9-22, 2017 include:

  1. Hongbin Yu, Class of 2109, Mechanical Engineer
  2. Kaiyun Chen, Class of 2109, Communication/Advertising/Digital Media
  3. Anja Pollozi, Class of 2109, Secondary Education
  4. Sydney Kokoda, Class of 2109, Secondary Education

These four Manhattan College students are in Rome participating in this International Lasallian Leadership and Global Understanding program thanks to the hard work, financial support, and coordinating efforts here at Manhattan College of:

  4. Lois Harr
  5. John Bennett

Among the presenters at the program are Hayden Greene, Director of Multicultural Affairs and also known to us at Manhattan College, Ms. Diana Loera from La Salle University in Monterrey, Mexico (who was a presenter at Manhattan College during Mission Month 2017), and Dr. Carlos Coelho, Executive Director of the International Association of Lasallian Universities (who has often been at Manhattan College).
