LEAVE TIME FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL...

As you consider your Spring schedule of classes, please consider leaving a block of 2-3 hrs in the morning or afternoon to volunteer with our underserved Bronx middle school students.

Do you want to work with middle school students?

Do you want to be a part of their future success?

Manhattan College’s new Americorps*VISTA program helps guide underserved middle school students to high school, college and beyond...

Through the new The Road to College: The Right High School! Program, volunteers will have the opportunity to build relationships and serve as role models to middle school students in multiple schools in the Bronx.

Volunteers will provide students with the foundation for their future success in high school and college by:

  • Attending training on the high school match process
  • Providing 1x1 and small workshops to students and parents on the high school match process
  • Providing additional workshops on high school transition, mindfulness sessions, and early college awareness & career development with Manhattan College tours and inspirational conversations.

This opportunity is perfect for satisfying some indirect internship/practicum, professional development, resume building, and community service. Volunteer times are varied and flexible. Evenings available too.

Any questions, please contact:

Thank you.
