Last Call for Nominations: Newman Civic Fellowship 2020-2021

The nomination period for 2020-2021 Campus Compact's Newman Civic Fellowship, a yearlong program that recognizes and supports community-committed students, is now open HERE.
The Newman Civic Fellowship, honors the late Frank Newman, one of Campus Compact's founders and a tireless advocate for the civic engagement of higher education.
As a Campus Compact member institution, Manhattan College nominates one student each year for this comprehensive fellowship experience. The fellowship is a one-year experience, during which time fellows have access to learning opportunities, networking events, and mentoring. Through the fellowship, Campus Compact provides in-person and virtual learning opportunities focused on the skills fellows need in order to serve as effective agents of change in addressing public problems and in building equitable communities.
We are seeking nominations of undergraduate or graduate students who engage in collaborative action with others in order to create long-term social change, take action in addressing issues of inequality and political polarization, and demonstrate the motivation and potential for effective long-term civic engagement. Please nominate whomever you feel is the most deserving student, with preference given to undergraduate students, particularly rising sophomores and rising juniors.
Nominations will be accepted until Monday, January 13th, 2020 via this Google form
