How To Schedule a Tutoring Appointment at the CAS

Manhattan College students can now use Jasper Connect to make tutoring, writing, and peer academic coaching appointments with the Center for Academic Success.

Subject Matter Tutoring

Log in to Jasper Connect. Use the QuickLink on inside.manhattan.edu (click on either “Jasper Connect” or “Schedule a Tutoring Appointment”). Click on the hamburger menu (three lines in the top left-hand corner of the screen) and scroll through the menu options to find your Courses channel.

Once in your Courses channel, select the current term from the drop down menu at the top and scroll to find the course for which you need help. You’ll find your professor’s profile, as well as the profiles of peer tutors or supplemental instructors.

Hover over tutors’ names to find their office hours as well as information about what they can help you with. When you’re ready to select a tutor, click “Schedule Appointment” to view their availability.

All tutors have multiple appointment locations – an in-person location (either the Learning Commons in Thomas Hall or our center in Leo) or online. Select the choice that works best for you. Instructions for how to log into an online session will be emailed to you prior to your appointment.

Check the date and time and give additional notes about what you want to work on (optional); then click Confirm to confirm the appointment. You’ll receive an email confirmation with all the details. Note: If there are no tutors or supplemental instructors listed for the class you need, email success@manhattan.edu to request help for your class. We will help you find someone. Write additional comments here about what you’re looking for help with to help the tutor prepare for your session.

Writing Assistance and Peer Academic Coaching

Once in My Success Network, scroll to Your Services to find a list of services available to you. Click “Schedule” to pull up the schedule for the service you need.Select the primary reason for your appointment from the list of options.

Then scroll to find a time and provider that works for you. All writing consultants and PACs have multiple appointment locations – an in-person location (the Learning Commons in Thomas Hall, 3.11) or online. Select the choice that works best for you. Instructions for how to log into an online session will be emailed to you prior to your appointment.

Click Continue to check the date and time and give additional notes about what you want to work on (optional); then click Confirm to confirm the appointment. You’ll receive an email confirmation with all the details.

We look forward to helping you succeed at Manhattan! If you have any questions, please feel free to email success@manhattan.edu.
