Harvard & Cambridge meet Lasallian Research

At the September 24-26, 2017 6th Annual International Symposium for Lasallian Research in Minneapolis, MN, two International Keynoters will address 
  • Advocacy for Children 
  • Climate Change and the Sustainable Development Goals

Yourtown is a Lasallian organization that provides services and advocacy for children throughout Australia. It is one of the foremost contributors to research on child welfare in Australia.

Faculty, administrators, staff, and students from Manhattan College may apply for funding support (Symposium registration with all meals included, Housing accommodations at the Sheraton Midtown Hotel, 2901 Chicago Avenue South, Minneapolis, Minnesota, and flight transportation) through the joint sponsorship of the Assistant Vice President for Student and Faculty Development and the Vice President for Mission (priority given to Summer Research Scholars, Presenters, CCIS Facilitators, and Faculty Development Committee members). 


Please send request for funding consideration to mission@manhattan.edu before June 30, 2017, indicating:

  • The title of the Research Presentation Proposal submitted for the Symposium (if you did submit a proposal) and the Lasallian Research theme with which it is associated (if it is).
  • The academic or administrative department at the College with which you are affiliated.

Call for Papers/Presentations (Deadline June 30, 2017) on research, preferably aligned with the themes of the International Association of Lasallian Universities (IALU):

  • Education and learning innovations
  • Food, nutrition and health
  • Environment and sustainability
  • Lasallian studies
  • Other research topics will also be considered

Presentation Proposal Guidelines:

  • Concise 200 words or less.
  • Presentations of 50 minutes in length including time for questions and discussion.
  • Proposals submitted no later than June 30, 2017 using the online form
