CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS TO HELP MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS...

Do you want to help middle school students select their best-fit high school?

Do you want to be a part of their future success?

Manhattan College’s new Americorps*VISTA program will help guide underserved middle school students through the NYC High School Match Application process and beyond...

Through the new The Road to College: The Right High School! Program, volunteers will have the opportunity to build relationships and serve as role models to middle school students in multiple schools in the Bronx.

Volunteers will provide students with the foundation for their future success in high school, college, and beyond by:

● Attending training on the high school match process

● Providing workshops to students and parents on the high school match process

● Assisting students individually and in small groups to complete the application

● Providing additional workshops on high school transition, college awareness, career development, and mindfulness throughout the academic year

This opportunity is good for professional development, resume building, and community service. Volunteer times are varied and flexible.

We have scheduled two meetings: Tues., Aug 28th 3:30-4:30pm OR Wed., August 29th from 12-1pm in Miguel 218 for those interested in receiving additional information to determine which experience would be the best fit for you and to sign-up.

Any questions, please contact:
