Call for Proposals from Faculty, Graduate Students, Undergraduate Students (accompanied by a faculty mentor), Administrators, and Staff ... June 30, 2019 deadline for the International Symposium on Lasallian Research to be held September 20-22, 2019 at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota. Featured themes include, but are not limited to:
Teaching and Educational Innovation (including DASH)
Health and Nutrition
Environment and Sustainability
Social Justice / Restorative Justice / Serving the Common Good
Art / Music / Literature / Culture
History / Politics / Social Movements
Faith / Interreligious / Ecumenical
The International Association of Lasallian Universities (IALU) promotes and fosters research collaboration among Lasallian researchers from across the United States as well as globally. Proposals for presentations at the 8th International Symposium on Lasallian Research at now being accepted.
All proposals (no more than 250 words) must be submitted on the official Saint Mary's University form (click here) AND ALSO on the official Manhattan College form (click here) no later than June 30, 2019.
Faculty and Graduate Student proposals are a priority.
Undergraduate Student proposals that are mentored by an accompanying faculty advisor are encouraged.
For a limited number of faculty, staff, administrators, graduate students, and undergraduate students (who are accompanied by their faculty mentor), Manhattan College will provide funding support to cover plane tickets, hotel accommodations, and conference registration (which includes all meals) – provided that the following procedures are followed.
The research presentation proposal is submitted to Saint Mary's University on the official Saint Mary's Univerity submission form (click here) before the June 30, 2019 deadline,
The research presentation proposal is submitted to Manhattan College Office of Mission on the official Manhattan College submission form (click here) before the June 30, 2019 deadline.
Submissions will receive a response prior to the end of August.
Please note that while undergraduate student research proposals are eligible for consideration, to be eligible to participate in the Symposium, the faculty mentor must accompany the student researcher to the Symposium.
