Goldsmith Prize winner and journalist Shane Bauer will be discussing his time as an undercover prison guard at a private prison in Louisiana followed by Q&A. The campus community is encouraged to purchase a copy of American Prison at the bookstore. This event is free and open to the public.

 

Panel on Mass Incarceration and Racial Injustice

Join Bauer and faculty in discussing how private prisons profit from the incarceration of marginalized groups and subsequently the importance of prison reform. Faculty panelists include Dr. Winsome Downie, Dr. Madeleine Novich, Dr. Andrew Skotnicki, and Dr. David Witzling. This event is free and open to the public.
