Agnes Varda's Cinema: Performing (Trans)national Authorship

Lecture (in English) by Leonard Cortana, Ph.D. Candidate, NYU Cinema Studies Department & Adjunct Instructor in International and French Film History

Leonard is also a filmmaker currently screening a short documentary about activist movements, spreading the intersectional legacy of Afro-Brazilian activist and politician Marielle Franco in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.  Cortana is a 2019/2020 fellow at the Berkman Klein Center at Harvard University, where he is researching mixed-race youths utilizing online tools to explore their roots and support collaborative activism.
