Please join us in congratulating the Jasper Dancers, the 2019 NDA National Champions for Division I Hip Hop.
NDA Nationals is an annual collegiate dance competition that occurs in Daytona Beach, Florida, with colleges and uniiversities from across the country competing against one another in the jazz, hip hop, team performance, and pom categories. Each team must compete in the preliminary round of competition before advancing to finals—where only the top routines have the opportunity to perform again. The Jasper Dancers have qualified for these competitions the past 5 years.
On Thursday, April 4th, the Jasper Dancers competed in the Jazz category, placing 17th in the nation. On Saturday, April 6th, the team won the National Championship in the Hip Hop category. They finished with a score of 94.9714, defeating two-time defending champion Weber State University, who finished with a score of 93.8857.
