Summer at Manhattan

We have two summer programs available at Manhattan College available to rising high school seniors. Both the Summer Literacy Institute and Manhattan Business Academy offer the necessary preparation to apply to and succeed in college. Working directly with Manhattan College students, faculty and alumni, the rising seniors will develop the skills to begin the college admissions process.

Summer Literacy Institute

graduatesThe Summer Literacy Institute (SLI) at Manhattan College is a week-long college immersion program for rising high school seniors in New York City.

Students accepted into the program move to our campus for a week in July to attend classes with Manhattan College faculty, participate in various cultural events, and partake in writing workshops with current Manhattan College students, among other activities.

Participants will live alongside, and gain meaningful knowledge from current O’Malley School of Business students acting as mentors. Workshops, college essay development, social and cultural activities will be included throughout the week and will enhance this amazing learning opportunity.
