Commuter Services And Outreach

The mission of the office of Commuter Services and Outreach is to promote commuter student success by creating opportunities to network and integrate into the College community. Our programs and outreach create a way for commuter students to meet, share issues and express their concerns. Our one-stop environment is a place where commuters can connect with each other, find resources and receive support. This ensures that their needs are met and addressed by the campus community. Commuter Services and Outreach offers a wide range of services and programs including:

  • Lockers

    Lockers are available for use on campus from September through May of the academic year, and cost $10 to rent.

  • The Commuter Chronicle

    The Commuter Chronicle is a student-operated newsletter.
    It was created to inform all commuters of services on
    campus and how they operate. In addition, the editorial
    staff takes on issues that are relevant to the commuter
    population, such as parking, health and food services.

  • Commuter Student Association

    The Commuter Student Association (CSA) is a club
    designed specifically for commuters who are interested
    in taking a leadership role at the College. The CSA helps
    address commuter students’ questions regarding the larger
    campus experience.
  • Commuter Weather Emergency Protocols

  • NJ Transit Student Discount Program

  • Hudsonlink

    Hudson Link is a premium bus service that connects Westchester and Rockland Counties, which also connects to Metro-North trains at both White Plains and Tarrytown. Hudson Link offers a significant fare discount to students attending within Rockland and Westchester Counties.

  • Life Skills Workshop

    The Office of Commuter Services and Outreach wants our commuters to be prepared as they enter the workforce, graduate school or if they are contemplating moving off campus as a resi-commuter.

  • Meal Plans

  • Parking | Public Safety

    Manhattan College

    Parking permits are required for all campus parking facilities, and applications are available through the Public Safety Office. Permits for the fall semester are available during April and May of each year for a fee, and a member of our team will affix a parking decal to your vehicle.

  • Meal Plans | Dining

    Manhattan College

    If you don't live on campus, you aren't required to have a meal plan but we do offer two different commuter meal plans that you can optionally select. To sign up for a commuter meal plan, visit the ID Card office in Thomas Hall.

    textbooks for the entire semester, free of charge, and return
    them at the end of the semester.
